OLEBRUSSELS is a web platform where you can find information about cultural events taking place in Brussels. OLEBRUSSELS is powered by me (Distribution & Events Coordinator Manuel Pueyo).
I have arrived to Brussels in March 2005. Since then I have worked as a consultant in European projects in different firms and regional offices in Brussels. In the capital of Europe, I saw a home to a mixture of nationalities. However, the various national groups in Brussels don’t always have the opportunity to connect with each other. I believe that there is a great potential for enriching interactions between this X-pats and the other inhabitants of Brussels.
In 2011 OLEBRUSSELS expands with the aim to create a network of people using Twitter to spread information about culture and events in different European cities. Blanca Ayuso will start tweeting from Vienna under the moniker @olevienna. Dragomira Raeva will start tweeting from Madrid under the moniker @olemadriles.
What kind of activities are we interested about?
Artistic flyer design, video marketing, music sharing, design, local press promotion, networking with Internet web 2.0 and social platforms, hiring personnel, booking artists, researching new locations, setting up sound-system, video production and creative industries…
OLEBRUSSELS role and responsibility changes according to the different projects anounced, depending on their objective and people involved, and ranging from distribution and communications over facilitator to co-organiser.
The ultimate aim of this platform is to bring people together, use public spaces to gather,communicate & party. Each year great enjoyment is derived from surprise of the many new people joining the events.
